The Company

8-Lite Production was founded 2010 by Magnus Tornqvist. Magnus had been working for one of Sweden’s premier lighting companies for a number of years and felt it was time to start his own business. The company name is an homage to the 8-Lite Audience Blinder which is well known from rock stages around the world. 

Since the start in 2010, 8-Lite Production have provided their services as lighting designer, production manager, tour manager, crew chief and lighting technician to productions both domestic and abroad.

Experiences and Expertise

Over the years, 8-Lite Production have come to work on a large number of big scale productions, in Sweden and internationally.

Domestic productions and tours include Melodifestivalen, Gyllene Tider, Lars Winnerbäck, Sweden Rock Festival, Summerburst, Swedish Idol, Talang and Fråga Lund.

International tours and productions include Eurovision song contest, HIM, Danko Jones, Eluveitie and Europe.

What you learn from working in all parts of the industry

When you work on large, high profiled shows there are no room for mistakes. You also get to use and work with the latest in lighting technology. This is one of the best ways that 8-Lite Production keep ourselves up to date with what is happening in the lighting industry.

At the same time, working with smaller shows with smaller budgets provides us with the opportunity to be creative and think ”out of the box” – out of pure necessity. And that is one of the best schools of lighting there is.
